HISTORY OF THE CAI MODEL
Design in homage to the inventor of paper, Cai Lun. The imperial eunuch Cai Lun, a high official in the court of Emperor He, of the Eastern Han dynasty, was commissioned by his lord to find a new writing medium better than the one existing until now, in silk, bamboo and wood. which also had a high manufacturing cost. Cai Lun's enormous ingenuity led him to improve an existing method by testing different materials until he managed to make a much more economical, durable and flexible paper.
